To provide facilities to be the venue of choice for sporting, social, recreational and community educational needs which will assist to promote and foster opportunities for the people of Maungaturoto and the Lower Northland Region.

Enthusiasm, commitment, boundless generosity and hard work have provided Maungaturoto with a sporting and social complex that is the envy of much larger communities.

The Maungaturoto Country Club is a community social facility, the home for arts, community organisations and sports. A great place to dine and socialise. The 60ha (140 acre) grounds include a bowling greens, community walkway, disc golf, equestrian jumps, live theatre, orienteering course, rugby fields, skate park, squash courts and most importantly a sheep farm.

The Club is open on Thursday and Friday evenings and at other times by arrangement. The large function lounge is available for club functions and private events - birthdays, weddings, conferences and other celebrations. The club has kitchen facilities to support these functions.
A member of Clubs New Zealand, the Club is a community asset which requires the ongoing commitment by local people to generously donate their time, money, services and goods to ensure it meets the changing needs of its members and visitors.
